Keeneland

So two weeks ago my husband Jonathan (aka DB) and I went to Lexington, KY to be a part of the awesomeness that is Keeneland horse racing. Ian and Yesol, his girlfriend, joined us. In fact we stayed with them at Ian's parents' home which they so graciously opened to us.

Best part about Keeneland? The clothes.

Tailgating was super fun and after we had downed a couple of Redds (if you haven't tried Redd's Apple Ale please do. I <3 Redds. Just like apple cider!) we walked to the race tracks and placed a few bets on the horses for Races 6 & 7. Results weren't too shabby - we lost just 50 cents :P . Woohoo :D . My horses came in 3rd and 2nd and DB's came in 1st and 3rd.

That night we hit up a few bars at downtown Lex. Most were packed to the brim so we eventually landed up at Sound bar which isn't a gay bar per se but .. yeah. It didn't bother me at all though and we danced the night away :) . After that we got some morocon mint tea from a sheesha bar nearby which, quite honestly, wasn't very nice (im sorry Moroccons?). No more moroccon tea for this girl.

It was an amazing weekend :) .
